FIRST PSYCHOTIC EPISODE
The First Episode Psychotic cohort recruits antipsychotic-naïve first-episode psychotic (PEP) patients aged 15–35 years. The diagnostic evaluation of the individuals' psychiatric disorders was carried out through the Structured Clinical Interview (DSM-IV - SCID). Patients were recruited by the Center for Integrated Attention to Mental Health (CAISM) of the Paulista Association for the Development of Medicine (SPDM). Healthy controls come from the Worker's Center and students and employees of UNIFESP. All control individuals and patients or their legal guardians signed the informed consent, approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), UNIFESP/HSP (Process No. 0603/10).
